Terdapat beberapa pokok yang I tak tanam growing di kebun kecil I tu. Tapi baguslah kan? Tak perlu susah-susah nak tanam tapi pokok tu tumbuh sendiri hehe.
Pokok cili padi ni tumbuh merimbun di celah-celah pokok Purple Showers. At the end, pokok Purple Showers nye entah ke mana.
Alhamdulillah.. rejeki namanya hehe.
Takut pulak nak alihkan masuk ke dalam raised bed tu sebab bayamnya dah agak besar. Takut terpotong akarnya pulak masa di korek jadi I biarkan saja di situ sampai besar.
Dalam raised bed kompos ni I campak semua sisa buangan dapur termasuk kentang, biji labu, biji mangga.. Maka ketiga-tiganya dah bertunas. Tapi lupa pulak nak ambil gambar. Nak biar atau cabut??
P/S : Macam nak buat reban ayam and bela 2 hens lah :)
Update 03/10/2014
Ini lah benih labu yang tumbuh dalam raised bed yang I gunakan untuk buat compost. Nak cabut sayang lah pulak..
Nampak tak benih yang cenonet tu? Itu lah benih kentang.. tak tau lah akan terus hidup ke tak sebab my last experience tanam kentang tak jadi. Pokoknya layu dan terus kering.
Cili padi yang dah masak ranum. Takut nak guna sebab podaih sangat hihihi

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ
Peace be upon you
Nampak tak bahagian yang takde anak bayam tu? They were destroyed by Ben!

Yes! I used the same recipe as pide (pizza boat) recipe :)
Lepas ni tak perlu lagi tahan uncle / aunty roti kan? Dah boleh buat bread loaf sendiri.
Referring to the sandwiches, you can see how gebu they are kan? Oh! Oh! That's my breakfast and lunch that I had on last Thursday. I had tuna sandwiches and apples for breakfast, quinoa + couscous with teriyaki chicken and stir-fry bean sprouts for lunch :)
Ini pula saja nak tayang ke you all... Karipap (curry-puff) that I had for breakfast this morning. First time cuba buat okay! :) Mula-mula kepit guna acuan sebab nak dapat shape yang sama and then baru kelim guna tangan. Kalau kepit guna acuan tu kadang-kadang kat bahagian kelim tu akan terbuka bila di goreng. Jadi I picit bagi nipis bahagian kelim tu and kelim balik guna tangan.
So apa lagi you all? Cepat lah try recipe pizza, doughnut and seterusnya boleh buat roti pulak :)

DOUGHNUT BALLS WITH LEMON CUSTARD FILLING
السلام عليك
Peace be upon you
Amacam? Dah try kah pizza boat haritu? Hari ni nak share recipe doughnut gebu yang mulus :)
Hari ahad try buat doughnut buat pertama kalinya tapi kurang menjadi. Doughnutnya agak mampat dan tak berapa nak gebu. Jadi semalam sempena cuti Hari Malaysia, I cuba buat doughnut lagi menggunakan recipe lain. Alahmdulillah gebu habis! Cair bila di kunyah (tipu sangat lah tu ye?) Ibaratnya lah tu.. hihi
Doughnut Balls
Ingredients
225g plain flour
2 tbsp yeast
4 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp salt
150ml warm milk
50gm melted butter
1 egg (beaten)
Vegetable oil for frying
Method
Mix the yeast with half a teaspoon of the sugar and two tablespoons of the warm milk. Let it sit for 10 minutes, or until frothy.
Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Stir in one tablespoon of the sugar.
Pour in the yeast mix, the rest of the milk, the melted butter and the egg into the flour. Mix to make a dough and then knead for 5-8 minutes, cover the bowl and leave to stand for 45 minutes, or until the dough has doubled in size.
Punch the dough and return to the work surface, knead the dough for five minutes, then divide into 12 balls and place in a warm place for 30 minutes and covered, or until they have doubled in size.
Heat oil in a heavy bottomed sauce pan over medium heat. Once hot enough, turn the heat to low. Gently lower the dough balls one at a time into the hot oil, in batches of two or three, and fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden-brown, and then carefully turn over. Remove from the hot oil with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
Make a small hole inside the doughnut with the chopstick, and fill with the lemon custard (using the piping bag). Roll the warm doughnuts in the remaining sugar. Serve warm.
Lemon Custard Filling
Ingredients
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
2 egg yolks
3/4 cup of water
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp butter
Method
In a medium suace pan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Beat egg yolks and water together, then whisk into sugar mixture.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and butter. Mix them well and cover with plastic wrap until completely cooled. Then you can pipe into the doughnut balls.
Tersangat lah gebu doughnut ni.. Melting in your mouth! I found that doughnut and lemon custard such a good combination indeed. You may try it and am sure that you will love it! You can reduce amount of lemon juice.

ASAM PEDAS IKAN SIAKAP
Peace be upon you
Ya Allah.. rindunya pada blog ni and you guys! Sihat ke you all? It's been a while from my last entry. Do you miss me? :)
Hari ni nak share recipe asam pedas ikan siakap. Sebelum ni pun pernah juga update recipe asam pedas ni tapi menggunakan ikan kembong.
Ingredients
1 medium size barramundi fish
1 cup of chili paste
6 onions (pounded)*
3 cloves garlic (pounded)*
1 thumb size ginger (pounded)*
1 thumb size tumeric (pounded)*
1 thumb size shrimp paste *
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (pounded)*
1/2 tsp fennel seeds (pounded)*
1/2 tsp black pepper corn (pounded)*
1 tbsp tamarind paste (Asam Jawa Extra Adabi)
2-3 sprigs of vietnamese mint (daun kesum - tie to knot)
1 sprig curry leave
4-5 kaffir lime leaves
1 stalk lemongrass *
10 okras
1 tomato (cut to four)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3-4 cups of water
1 tbsp sugar
Salt to taste (depend on you)
Method
Clean and slice the fish about 3cm thick. Rinse and drain. Season with a pinch of salt and set aside.
Heat oil in a wok over medium heat (I used a wok instead of heavy bottom sauce pan). Add * ingredients and cook till fragrant and lil bit brown. Pour in the chili paste and cook for 5-10 minutes or till fragrant.
Pour in the water, add in the vietnamese mint, kaffir lime leave, curry leave, salt, sugar and tamarind paste and cook till the gravy lil bit thicken. Meanwhile, boil water in a sauce pan. Once boiled, add in the okras and cook for 3 minutes. Drain and rinse the okras with cold water. Set aside.
Once the gravy lil bit thicken, add in tomato and fish. Cook till the fish tender (about 5 minutes) and add in the okras. Mix them well and turn off the heat.
Ready to serve.
Rasanya seekor ikan tak cukup because bila makan nak makan and makan lagi. :)
Love,
Honey
