BUTTER PRAWNS

I cooked butter prawns accompanied by stir-fry spinach on the 1st of Ramadhan 1435h. Just a simple dishes for the first day. Makan sorang jadi tak perlu membazir :)


Ingredients

10 L size prawns
3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
5-6 bird's eye chilies (thinly sliced)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp evaporated milk
1 sprig curry leaves
1 egg yolk
4 tbsp butter (for egg yolk)


Method

Clean the prawns, deveined and drain the excess water.

Melt butter in a sauce pan over high heat. Add garlic, chilies and curry leave and cook till fragrant and slightly brown.

Add in prawns and cook till it turn to red colour. Pour in milk and cook till the milk absorbed. Place the prawns in a plate and set aside.

Melt butter in a wok over high heat. Whisk the egg yolk and slowly pour into a wok. In the same time, you have to swirl the egg yolk with ladle in one direction. After a few seconds, you will see the mixture becomes foamy, keep stirring until you can see the egg floss and stir for another 10 seconds to get it crisp. Drain the excess oil.

Garnish the prawns with egg floss.


Note : I don't fried the prawns first sebab malas! :) And my egg floss tak nampak macam egg floss pun hahahaha.

  2. Semoga terusan dapat beribadah di Ramadhan yg mulia ini... gebunya udang.. at the moment seafood kena tolak tepi dulu.. batuk tak baik lagi...

      Harap Kak Mar cepat sembuh ya. Kena pantang makan ni. Kalau ikutkan ayam pon tak boleh makan bila batuk sebab akan menyebabkan banyak kahak nanti.
