السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ
Peace be upon you

Nadia dari blog Journey To Green Living dah try recipe bread loaf I hari tu. You all bila lagi nak try recipe pizza dan doughnut tu? :)

Alhamdulillah dia suka recipe tu sebab simple aje. I pun akan guna recipe itu aje for my bread loaf. So today I would like to share with you another simple recipe for breakfast or afternoon tea.

Bread Pudding

Ingredients

1 loaf bread (roughly shredded)
3 cups of fresh milk *
3 large eggs (lightly beaten)*
1/2 cup of sugar *
2 tbsp vanilla essence *
1 tsp ground cinnamon *
1/2 cup raisin
3 tbsp butter (melted)*
A handful of almond flakes

Method

Preheat oven at 180c. Place half bread in a loaf pan and mix all the * ingredients in a large bowl.

Pour half of the milk mixture over the bread and let sit for awhile until the milk absorbed. Gently sprinkle half of the raisins over the bread and add another layer of bread. Pour the remaining milk mixture and let it sit for few seconds until the milk fully absorbed.

Sprinkle the remaining raisins and top with almond flakes.Bake for 40 minutes or until the bread pudding is set and the corners are slightly brown.

Vanilla Custard Sauce

Ingredients

2 cups of milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 tbsp sugar
6 egg yolks (lightly beaten)
2 tbsp custard powder
A pinch of salt

Method

In a medium sauce pan, heat milk over medium heat and add in sugar, salt, vanilla essence, egg yolks and custard powder. Mix them well until the custard lil bit thicken. Remove from heat

To serve, cut the bread pudding into squares and drizzle vanilla custard sauce over each piece. Serve warm.

Bread loaf tu I buat sendiri. Sebab tak habis jadi I buat lah bread pudding ni. :)
