OAT MANTOU

السلام عليكم
Peace be upon you

I made mantou again on last Saturday dipped with chicken curry :)

 Before doubled in size.

Ingredients

3 cups pau flour
1 cup oat
3 1/2 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp yeast
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp bread softener
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of warm water
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

Dissolved sugar in warm water and add in yeast and let it proof. The mixture will froth and look like beer bubbles.

Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. Pour in yeast mixture, oil and milk into the bowl and mix until a dough forms and you can start kneading. Knead till smooth and not stick on your fingers.

Let it sit for an hour (covered) to proof. Punch down dough and knead for a minute. Devide dough about 80-100gm each or 8 balls. Make it round and place it in the baking pan. Let it sit for 20 minutes to proof until double sizes.

Make sure the steamer hot enough and steam over high heat for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot with chicken curry :)

After doubled in size.
Agak kekuningan pulak roti dalam gambar ni mungkin sebab cahaya.

Dapat dip dengan kari ayam punya lah sedap rasanya :)

Selamat mencuba you all!

Honey
